Vehicle body damages such as scratches and dents can cost a hefty sum to repair when you are renting a car, especially when it requires paying it off all at once. Body repairs may even cost up to $3000!

The Vehicle Damage Protection Scheme is a protection plan made just for GrabRentals Hirer-Partners to defray such costs.

* Prices above are including of GST. Terms & Conditions apply. Do note that the Vehicle Damage Protection Scheme covers only damages upon vehicle return.

* This is available for both new contracts & recontracts only, and opt-in during the middle of the contract is not allowed with the exception of GrabRentalsmain-hirers who are sharing a car using the Relief matching feature

Note that the coverage is not applicable for:

Accident-incurred damages
Safety performance-related damages found during regular servicing
Damages not compliant with the LTA’s regular inspection requirements

Coverage details

These components of a vehicle body will be covered.

Multiple or Major/Minor Damage Exposing base or metal
Part Replacement Undercarriage cover, Bumper, Side skirt, Headlight, Tail light, etc.
Windscreen Patch only, Does not cover windscreen excess
Hub Cap Damages only. Does not cover missing cap
Tyre E.g. Sidewall damage
Car interior wear & tear (e.g. leather seats) Excluding dashboard

* Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Vehicle Damage Protection Scheme (VDP) are add-on services covered throughout the entire period of rental contract. In the event of vehicle breakdown, there will be no reimbursement for add-on services.

* The Vehicle Damage Scheme will cover up to a maximum of SGD$3,000 eligible vehicle body repair cost.
