What is TDVL (Taxi Driver’s Vocational License) ?

TDVL is a license required by LTA for individuals to drive either a taxi or a private hire cars

Total Course Duration: 19hrs 30min
Requires completion of THREE e-tests, Duration 3hrs

PDVL holders can take a PDVL to TDVL conversion course and covert their license to a TDVL

Total Course Duration: 7hrs
Requires completion of TWO e-tests, Duration: 1hr 45min

How to get your vocational license

Apply for ATC (Approval To attend Course) letter.

Attend medical checkup.

Apply for PDVL / TDVL course.

Attend the PDVL / TDVL Course and Test.

Step-by-step guide to get your Vocational License

Ensure that you have the following documents before proceeding

NRIC

Applicant must be minimum 30 years old
only applicable to Singapore citizen

Driving Licence

GCE N/O Level Cert with min. D7 for English

Passport Sized Photo

MediSave contributions if self-employed

*You will not be able to proceed without these documents
